These grounds have come into being through the labor and love of many people who have devoted time, talent, and resources to procure and build Buckhorn. Our staff is dedicated to providing our guest with a mountain top experience in God’s “awe”some outdoors. Whether you are looking for a great location for a church, school, non-profit organization, or business retreat we believe that Camp Buckhorn is the right place for you.
The 120-acre Camp Buckhorn is nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains at an elevation of nearly 6000 feet. It was purchased in the early 1950’s as a horse ranch and has grown into a year round conference center and camp. Each year well over 3000 people walk the grounds and enjoy God’s beautiful outdoors. Our abundant wildlife includes many species of birds, deer, coyotes, and the ever-popular grey squirrel. In addition to our wildlife our grounds are host to many shade bearing friends. Throughout our dense campground you will find many species of pines, oaks, and cedars. Groups utilizing the facilities can be inspired and reminded of the beauty and majestic power of God’s goodness and love. Camp Buckhorn’s setting provides an atmosphere of serenity, spiritual renewal and peace.

Today, Thousand Trails offers premium outdoor destinations to more than 130,000 member families at over 80 preserves in 22 states and British Columbia, Canada. Members using the preserves bring their own recreational vehicles or campers to visit overnight. They may also book rental accommodations located at the campgrounds or just visit for the day.
Some campers come just for a fun weekend with their families, while others may camp for weeks, touring the country and enjoying our hospitality from coast to coast. Our members have full access to all of the premium amenities each time they stay with us.
Dedicated staff and a loyal membership are two of the reasons for our success. While we are a members-only network, we always welcome new visitors. We invite you to visit soon - it is the only way to appreciate the truly peaceful and beautiful experience at a Thousand Trails preserve.
