The 17th Annual Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines will take place amid the towering native pine and oak forest on the Idyllwild Arts campus, August 28 - 29, 2010. World renowned jazz and blues artists perform on multiple stages throughout the weekend.

The festival kicks off on Friday, August 27, with the gala Patron Dinner and Dance at Nelson Hall on the Idyllwild Arts Campus. Attendees will dine on gourmet food, fine wines and dance to live music.

Gates open at 10 am Saturday with three stages of continuous music featuring everything from traditional bebop to swing, blues and contemporary styles.

For those who would like to linger a little longer, our After Hours Jazz Jam and Jambalaya features more jazz and a scrumptious dinner of jambalaya and traditional Southern fare.

On Sunday morning, a gospel group starts the day on the main stage, followed more jazz throughout the day.

Idyllwild Jazz In The Pines is a scholarship fundraiser for the Idyllwild Arts Academy and Summer Program and an event to promote the American art form -- Jazz. ALL proceeds go for scholarships. Come to the festival, enjoy some great music and help support Idyllwild Arts and Jazz.
